MRC Proud – well done for the first week!
I’d like to start by saying a huge well done to all students for the fantastic start we have had with the MRC Proud cards. You all look incredibly smart and are wearing your uniform with pride. I always thought that you looked smart as a school, but I am hugely impressed that you have taken a step-up. We can always do better and you are proving this – well done and thank you.
I also want to say a special well done to all of you who are going ‘above and beyond’ and are getting your Proud Cards signed for this too. This week, I have seen students tidying up after others (where needed) and also offering to help in classes and corridors. A fantastic effort – really well done and let’s keep it up please.
I also think you are doing really well at tidying up after yourselves. The College looks tidier, as you are making more of an effort to put the litter in the bin. Please remember, this is a non-negotiable – it is something we must all do.
We had two visitors in from United Learning last week in College to look at lessons. They saw about 30 lessons in total and thought you are all making great progress, working hard and doing well. Thank you, and keep it up! We also had other visitors in College last week – we had Year 5 primary school students in for an MFL morning. A hug thank you to Mrs Lunskey and the MFL team for this.
GCSEs and A-levels
I must also say a huge well done to all our exam classes. We are now one week in to the exams and I am pleased with the positive attitude you are showing. Well done to all and keep revising!
Sumdog:
No sports results to share this week, but a huge well done to our Year 7 and 8 students in the national Sumdog competition. The following students all answered over 1000 questions each!
Year 7: Samuel Tarran, Oaklie White, George Darcey, Bradley Cooper
Year 8: Leah Strudwick, Libby Evans, Jack Tyler, Anna Beglin, Kiera Cullen, Dawid Aurzadniczek, Tom Steeden, Dan Oliver, Dom Cave, Jamie Duncton
Have a good week
Taking pride in your appearance
