Care Plans/Medical Conditions
To ensure we safeguard the wellbeing of your child correctly and sufficiently, it is the parents’/carers responsibility to update Care Plans and Medical conditions with the school, via the online form found at the top of this webpage. We advise parents/carers to update this yearly or if there are changes to the care/medical needs of your child following a medical appointment.
Asthma
If your child suffers from Asthma, they are required to carry their in-date inhaler on them at all times. Please can this be named so it can be quickly returned if it is lost. It is the student's responsibility to ensure they take it with them to break, lunch and all lessons, including PE. The school does hold an emergency asthma kit. However, to enable us to use this please sign the consent form here.
Anaphylaxis
If your child is at risk of anaphylaxis and has been prescribed an adrenaline auto-injector it is vital that they carry one on them at all times, including break, lunch, and all lessons, including PE. The school does hold two autoinjectors (AI’s) which can be used in an emergency, to enable us to use this please sign the consent form here
First Aid
The first aid room is located behind Student Reception. If your child becomes injured or unwell whilst in school, they are able to come to Student Services to request help. Where appropriate we will make contact with parents/carers to ask you to collect your child from school. In extreme events where a child has suffered significant injury or illness, we will contact the emergency services to organise their care before contacting you.
