MIDHURST ROTHER COLLEGE STUDENTS SECURE PLACES AT TOP RUSSELL GROUP UNIVERSITIES
~ Sixth Formers set to attend top Russell group universities after securing an impressive set of A Level results ~
~ 39% of A Level entries achieved grades A*-A ~
~ 63% of BTEC entries achieved Distinction*-Distinction ~
Students and staff at Midhurst Rother College are celebrating today as Sixth Formers confirm their places at high-quality university destinations, after receiving an excellent set of A Level results.
Sixth Formers saw their hard work recognised with 39% of A Level entries achieving grades A*-A and 63% achieving grades A*-B. Similarly impressive, in their BTEC studies, 63% of entries achieved Distinction*-Distinction, equivalent to the top A Level grades.
Students also displayed their prowess in STEM subjects with 86% of entries achieving A*-A in Computer Science and 75% of entries achieving A*-A in Mathematics.
Among the Sixth Formers celebrating, standout successes include:
- Matthew Grzywacz, who achieved four A*s in Further Maths, Maths, Computer Science and Physics, will be attending the University of Warwick to study Mathematics.
- Ethan Sharp, who achieved three A*s in Further Maths, Maths and Physics, will also be attending the University of Warwick to study Mathematics.
- Thomas Salter, who achieved two A*s in Maths and Computer Science and a Distinction* in Digital Media, considering a place at the University of Exeter to study Film.
- Gwen Keuhne, who achieved two A*s in Textiles and Art and a B in English Literature, will be attending University of Arts in London to study Costume for theatre and screen.
Speaking about his results, Matthew said:
“I am thrilled with these results and getting in to my first choice university.”
