Welcome to MRC, I’m Ben. As Head Boy, alongside the Head Girl, Kelly, it is my responsibility to develop a culture where every member of the school community seeks to be the best they can be and bring out the best in others. This new challenge is just so awesome. This is my 6th year at MRC, I am currently studying maths, physics and further maths, so naturally I love STEM and dream of it being my career. In my earlier years I also developed a passion for history, languages, and all sports, I hope to instil a similar enthusiastic approach to new and old subjects in the school and show students how rewarding MRC can be. Outside of my studies I play football for Midhurst and Easebourne FC (reigning champs!), keep fit by running and going to the gym and am doing my Gold Duke of Edinburgh with Petworth Youth Club. I intend to apply the level of determination and persistence gained from these activities to my role and be the best head boy I can.
MRC is a school built on its Values, Respect, Happiness, and Achievement, they serve as the foundation for making the school a valuable and engaging place to learn. I aim for every student to see our school as a mixture of fun, challenging, and rewarding, where they can build important relationships and learn key life skills, such as hard work and respect. I am thrilled to have such a strong line up of staff that are willing to support the growth of MRC, alongside Kelly, whose determination and dedication to her role as Head Girl is truly inspiring.
I am so excited for what Kelly, and I can do for you and the school over the next year and hope you all are too!
