Welcome to the Woolf Pack!
Your Head of House and House Leaders will be working together to ensure that students in Woolf strive to be the best house at MRC. Our house is named after the famous English writer Virginia Woolf. She was best known for her novels, especially Mrs Dalloway (1925) and To The Lighthouse (1927). She also wrote pioneering essays on artistic theory, literary history, women's writing, and the politics of power.
As a member of this house, your aim is to positively contribute to our fantastic team spirit. Through this we support each other on a daily basis, contributing to our achievement and attendance totals. Being part of team Woolf is a prestigious honour, with a rich history of success in a large range of house events. Thanks to this we are the currently the reigning champions (2019-20), after a fantastic set of results last year. Our aim this year is simple, retain the title.
In Woolf we aim emulate a wolf pack mentality:
- Be determined – having a positive mindset means anything is possible.
- Be courageous - participate in everything house related, from events to assemblies.
- Be a team player – no matter how big or small, every student has their role to play in order for us to succeed.
There will be multiple events throughout the year with 3 highlights (Music, Drama, Sports day), for which students can win a trophy for their House. The overall winning House will win the House cup at the end of the academic year.
Keep up the good work so far…Team Woolf to win!
